Bow To None - A Poem

Bow To None

Bow to none, not even to God.

But, if you must bow, then do bow to God.

For, He will forgive you your foolishness.

Man has created the ritual of bowing, not God.

Bowing to another is within the realm of ego and not of the Divine.

It was born out of misdirection and a misuse of power.

Power was never to be used to reign over another.

But to share with and to enrich the other.

Remember this and reign in yourself and never others.

Then you will know and experience the power of the Divine as you transcend ego.

Thanks for this sharing Mike.

I've thought about what you've written. When I bow to another I bow to acknowledge the Divine that resides within each of us. No more - No less.

Dearest Michael:

What a timely, beautifully phrased message. As the world becomes more unpredictable, people are more likely to give away their power.

Thank you for the re-Minder!

And all blessings for the new year.

Love, Maggie

It takes an open eye, and a venturous mind to realize things such as these...A poem truly worthy to dwell on...

Interesting, don't sit in praise of another, even God for once we do this, we have separated ourselves from God's consciousness. Is this why we are so destructive for only in ignorance can we destroy?

Good post.

Yes, in a way, bowing is with the construct of hierarchy which separates us...
