Humans all have the same origin, and before they began their long journey far from their heavenly homeland they lived in the bosom of the Eternal. Consequently, they have retained a memory of this paradise, albeit as very distant glimmers. But during the course of their successive incarnations they haven’t all had the same experiences: while some have strayed onto dark, tortuous paths, others have kept a clearer awareness deep inside themselves of their divine origin.
