Note: I wrote this poem a few days ago in the haiku style of poetry and published it for the first time today, the 10th of September, 2026. It is time for self responsibility and self reliance. This was the Message over the ages.
Shunryu Suzuki (1904–1971) was one of the most influential spiritual teachers of the twentieth century and is truly a founding father of Zen in America. A Japanese priest of the Soto lineage, he taught in the United States from 1959 until his death.

| Buddha means "enlightened being," someone awakened from ignorance and freed from suffering. After his enlightenment, he delivered his first sermon, which contained the Eightfold Path, a middle way between self-indulgence and self-mortification. This path includes correct view, intention, speech, action, livelihood, effort, mindfulness, and concentration. |
