We march off to die
In wars we have not chosen
Their blood sacrifice

Note: I wrote this poem in the haiku style of poetry last week and published it for the first time today, the 15th of April, 2026. Human sacrifice was reportedly abolished centuries ago yet it lives on today on the battlefields.
