Faith is not enough - it must be accompanied by the corresponding actions and efforts
Many Christians believe that their faith will save them. No, that would be too easy; anybody can believe and yet continue to behave like a criminal. Many criminals say they believe in God, but that will not save them. Faith that is not accompanied by the corresponding attitudes and actions – or, at least, by an effort in that direction – is almost worthless. Faith is truly powerful only when it is followed by actions that conform to one’s beliefs. Take a very simple example: you believe in the effectiveness of a medicine, but if you do not take it, it will not do you any good. On the other hand, if you do take it, your faith will make it twice, three times, ten times as potent as it would be if you had no faith in it. Faith is not everything; it simply opens doors and windows and clears the path ahead for you. But if you make no effort to walk that path, you will remain stuck in front of the open door.Omraam Mikhael Aivanhov Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov was a Bulgarian philosopher, pedagogue, mystic, and esotericist.
