Note: I have first hand experience with using Basil Oil to repel wasps who had been looking to make a home on our balcony. I sprinkled a few drops in the area where they were landing and they took off in flight. They came back a few days later and I refreshed the drops and after that they decided our balcony wasn't a good place for them to build their nest that summer.
