Nelle Harper Lee (April 28, 1926 - February 19, 2016) was an American novelist best known for her 1960 novel,  To Kill a Mockingbird.

The Population In The Future Will....A Quotation by M.N. Hopkins

The population in the future will decrease due to the manipulation of crops, thus poisoning man's food supply, the widespread use of drugs, with their detrimental effect on the human body, and the total breakdown of organized and planned action due to the weakening of will and the lack of inspiration and leadership within our human communities.

Befolkningen kommer i framtiden att minska på grund av manipulation av grödor, vilket förgiftar människans livsmedel, den utbredda användningen av droger, med deras skadliga inverkan på människokroppen, och en total brist på organiserat och planerat handlande på grund av försvagad vilja och brist på inspiration och ledarskap i de mänskliga samhällena.

Die Population der Zukunft wird abnehmen durch manipulierte Ernte, womit des Menschens Nahrungsquellen vergiftet werden,  die weit verbreitete Nutzung von Drogen,  mit ihren verheerenden Wirkungen auf den Körper und  den Zusammenbruch organisierter und geplanter Aktionen; da der Wille geschwächt wurde und es einen Mangel an Inspiration und Führerschaft in unseren Gemeinden gibt.

Believe In People - A Poem by M.N. Hopkins

We must make stories

That will carry us forward

Believe in people

Note:   I wrote this poem inspired by an Australian movie called, 2067.  Believe in People was a line in the movie spoken by one of the protagonists.  A hopeful message, indeed.  I wrote a comment to another person just before viewing this movie and it is funny how this comment, viewing the movie and a poem all came together that day. Here is the comment,  ''Thanks. Once one sees glimpes of the future and see that it never turns out exactly as one sees it means there are many variations and many possibilities. There are endless possibilities but people get stuck in whatever is being used for control and manipulation toward dystopoian societies. The powers that should not be are apparently a pychotic bunch with a dim, dull and dark vision and the majority of folks are buying their stories.''  

This poem was inspired and written in the haiku style of poetry yesterday and published for the first time today, the 7th of October, 2020.

We See A Future Full Of....A Quotation by M.N. Hopkins

We see a future full of confusions, misconceptions, and misinterpretations that will lead many to unpleasant surroundings and strife amongst each other. Out of this chaos will emerge a renewed longing for freedom that will one day break the chains that tie Mankind to your tyrannical social orders. This will come about in a not too pleasant way, but come about it will one day.
