Clint Barrett Sings A tribute to Seven Arrows by Hyemeyohsts Storm

February 1, 2012

I found this on youtube and it had only 20 views.  I thought it was a shame that more people haven't heard Clints' tribute to the book, Seven Arrows by Hyemeyohsts Storm.

Thanks, Clint.  Well done.  I hope that you who visit my blog and find this music, enjoy it and perhaps pass it around to your friends.

Seven Arrows is an illustrated book by a Sioux Medicine-Shield painter and author Hyemeyohsts Storm. For a year I lived on a deserted island in the Gulf Of Mexico after having read the book in Vermont. It's a kind of spiritual workbook - a meditation on the Four Directions. A way of understanding what knowledge you posses and what you lack. On this island about five people showed up who had read the book. We created a practice and discussed the book and the system it discusses. I wrote the song as part of this practice.
