It Will Come To You - A Poem by M.N. Hopkins

If you wait upon

Forgiveness from the outside

It may never come

If you wait upon

Happiness from the outside

It may never come

It you wait upon

Loveliness from the outside

It may never come

If you decide, now

Forgiveness from the inside

It will come to you

If you decide, now

Happiness from the inside

It will come to you

If you decide, now

Loveliness from the inside

It will come to you

Yes

It will come to you

Yes

It will come to you

It will come to you

Now

Note:  I wrote and published this poem today on my blog, the 8th of July, 2019 in a free verse style of poetry although it started as a haiku poem but I thought I needed to expand upon the thought so it ended up 6 haiku poems in one with some free verse to tie it all together at the end.

So many people today totally rely on the external environment to make them happy, otherwise they totally psychologically crumble to bits.

The aware and wise can put themselves in any environment and still stay happy and content, of course if we are conditioned from birth to look for happiness and contentment externally, conditioning ourselves to be truly aware and wise is going to be a struggle. However, once this state is embedded in our consciousness, happiness and contentment is always found internally, no matter what.

Be Blessed,
Mathew
