2012: The Real Maya Prophecy - The World Will Not End

Directed by Cassidy Rast. 2012 Maya Prophecy.

A sneak preview into the documentary film GUATEMAYA "The Unification of Wisdom" which journeys into the heart of Maya with Tz'utujil Mayan elder Tata Pedro Cruz. Journey through the life of Tz'utujil Maya elder Tata Pedro Cruz and follow him as he takes us through his life of tragedy, war, and cultural injustices, to where he is today which is that of sharing the ancient teachings of his culture with the youth of surrounding communities as well as taking the bold step to share and preserve his cultural teachings of the Mayan calendar and ceremony to the world, working to dispel the misinterpretations surrounding the Mayan culture.

Learn the truth of what the Maya believe is going to happen in 2012 and travel deep inside the heart of ancient wisdom and how it is relevant to us as we move forward into a world filled with love, compassion and unity.
Wonderful music by Peter Kater and Carlos Nakai migration album. Cinematography by Scott Jansson and Ben McIntire. Special thanks to Tata and his family, and to all of the nanas, tatas and friends of Guatemala and abroad who have made this possible.

Mayans themselves reject any notion that the world will end. Pedro Celestino Yac Noj, a Mayan sage, burned seeds and fruits to mark the end of the old calender at a ceremony in Cuba. He said: "The 21st is for giving thanks and gratitude and the 22nd welcomes the new cycle, a new dawn."
