When Christ Came To Earth ‒ A Quotation by Omraam Mikheal Aivanhov

"When Christ came down to earth, his spirit was great, sublime, but his ‘body’ was small; that is to say, his followers, those who were close to him, were unable to let his spirit penetrate them deeply enough. It was due to the weakness of his followers, who were incapable of manifesting his greatness, his power and his immensity, that it was possible for Jesus to be crucified. Yes, the crowds greeted him with cries of Hosanna when he entered Jerusalem, but when he was arrested in the Garden of Gethsemane, even his disciples deserted him. Jesus was small and weak in his disciples and so he was unable to prevail over those who, in much greater numbers, were determined to destroy him. Now, over the course of the centuries, the spirit of Christ has gradually spread throughout the entire world. He can no longer be crucified because he has incarnated in an immense body, sheltered in the hearts and minds of millions of beings."
