I am a huge fan of garlic, Mike. I chop up cloves of garlic, drop them into boiling water, remove the water from the burner, cover and let it steep for 15 minutes. The 'garlic tea' helps fight colds, flu, bacterial infections, everything. The problem I've found is finding fresh garlic. The garlic sold here is older and I've seen stuff growing in a few bulbs that was scary. If you make tea from old or diseased garlic, it tastes so bad, you can't get it down. (Always cut out the brown spots.) If you have decent garlic, the tea tastes a bit like potato water. Costs way less than a doctor visit and if we're not too sick and the garlic helps, we don't have to take antibiotics, which the docs now know are harmful if used too much. Thanks for sharing these other uses!
You are very welcome Pam.
Kindest regards,
Mike
