Illumination - A Process as Defined by Omraam Mikhael Aivanhov

Illumination - fleeting, up until the day the light no longer leaves us

There may be moments when you feel that you are suddenly filled with light: from one instant to the next your consciousness soars up to the plane of the superconscious, and you are dazzled by this immensity, this beauty. Unfortunately, this does not last, and you soon return to your everyday life, with the same worries and the same weaknesses. You feel as though you were an isolated fragment in the dark, cut off from the whole, from the Divine, from your own higher Self. Then, sometime later, everything is clear and bright again – but this too does not last. Do not let this discourage you. One day, after all these ups and downs, the light will no longer leave you; you will have crossed to the other shore and you will be saved for good.

Omraam Mikhael Aivanhov

Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov was a Bulgarian philosopher, pedagogue, mystic, and esotericist. A leading 20th-century teacher of Western Esotericism in Europe, he was a disciple of Peter Deunov, the founder of the Universal White Brotherhood.
