Happiness As Defined by Omraam Mikhael Aivanhov

Happiness - true happiness lies in the possessions of the soul and the spirit

If human beings are always dissatisfied and disappointed, it is because they rely too heavily on material things to make them happy – a new house or car, a better-paid job, a post as minister or president, and so on. To begin with, of course, they are delighted. Who wouldn’t be? But after a while, they are forced to recognize that they are not so happy anymore, they need something more. Unfortunately, such things as cars, houses and money do not grow on trees, so they will continue to feel dissatisfied until the day they understand that true joy and happiness do not come from material possessions, but from possessions of the soul and spirit.

And spiritual possessions are, of course, very different from material possessions. For example, you can go for a walk and rejoice in the beauty of nature, of the sun, stars and mountains. You do not actually possess them, but they inspire feelings, thoughts and emotions. These are the true possessions that will never disappoint you: the events of your inner life, what goes on in your heart and soul.
