Moshe Dayan was an Israeli military leader who later became a crusader for peace. He played a crucial role in four wars and helped negotiate the Israel-Egypt peace treaty. Dayan was born on kibbutz Deganya Alef, near Lake Kinneret, to parents Shemuel and Devorah on May 20, 1915.
