The Lord does not need to be defended  There are people who, believing they see the Lord’s reputation under attack everywhere they look, mobilize to defend Him. As if the Lord were so weak that He needed to be defended! Well, this is what they believe. And so they condemn, they persecute and they slaughter. If they were honest, they would ask the Lord for His opinion and they would hear the Lord, who is Love, reply, ‘Do not worry about this, it is not your concern. If they are really that wicked, they will destroy themselves.’ But in truth, do you really think that it is the Lord they are defending? No, what they are defending are their own affairs, their own prestige, influence and power, that is all. What hypocrisy! When we truly want to defend the Lord, we must show patience and love as He does.
