Thought Has An Important Role - A Quotation by Omraam Mikhael Aivanhov
Thought has an important role to play in our efforts to perfect ourselves. So, those who wish to become wiser, stronger, and more fraternal must set aside time to wish for and visualise these qualities. Imagine yourselves surrounded by light, sending your love across the whole world, and withstanding all difficulties and temptations. Little by little the images you form of these qualities will take on life. They will influence you, they will transform you as they work to attract the necessary elements from the universe and to establish them in your entire being. Of course, a good deal of time and work are necessary before any result is achieved. But the day this result presents itself, you can doubt no longer: you feel a living entity above you which protects you, instructs you, purifies you, enlightens you, and in difficult situations gives you the support you need. You must begin by forming something ideal in the world of the spirit, because this perfection will then gradually descend into your psychic matter where it will be realised. Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov was a Bulgarian philosopher, pedagogue, mystic, and esotericist. A leading 20th-century teacher of Western Esotericism in Europe, he was a disciple of Peter Deunov, the founder of the Universal White Brotherhood. |
Be Lead Not Astray - A Poem by M.N. Hopkins
Will you follow Him?
Or follow an Earthly king
Be lead not astray

Our Red Cliff Moment - A Poem by M.N. Hopkins
Rode Klif (red cliff) at Lake IJsselmeer
This cliff is made of boulder clay and is named after the colour of the clay. Red boulder clay is found only in Gaasterland in the Netherlands . The cliff is famous for being the site of the battle of Warns, 1345 AD. The battle is commemorated by the large boulder. The inscription on the boulder, ‘Leaver dea as slaaf’ (better dead than a slave), speaks for itself.Sunday, January 26, 2025

Note: I wrote these ten poems in the huiku style of poetry a few days ago and published them for the first time today, the 21st of January, 2025. I started with Version # 1 and added a different last verse or line which keeps with the theme of the poem but slightly changes the meaning. This is a practice that I started some time ago. I ask the reader if he or she would be so kind as to let me know the number of the poem that most resonates with them by leaving a reply in the comment section.

Rather Trust In Deeds - A Poem by M.N. Hopkins
Rarely truth in words
Man often deceives, betrays
Rather trust in deeds

Note: I wrote this poem in the haiku style of poetry a few days ago and published it for the first time today, the 19th of January, 2025. It is always best to observe the actions of others and reserve not too quick to accept their promises. The word Man is used as in proper English being short for Mankind which includes both genders.
