Lead The Way - A Poem by M.N. Hopkins

Lead The Way - A Poem by M.N. Hopkins

Lead the way

Yes

Lead the way

And

Be a true leader

Join not with those who lead

The sheep to their slaughter

Rather

Gather the wolves

The teachers

The bearers of new knowledge

Yes

The ones of inspiration

Gather together

Then

Separate paths

Each walking their own way

Teaching of a new tomorrow

Bringing hope where there once was none

Instilling faith in the faithless

Asking the question

Will you be free?

Free of the pain

Free of your chains

Free to walk freely

Upon your Earth

Yes

Gather the wolves

The teachers of Mankind

Bringing both

Love and courage

Bringing Life back to the Lands

Whom will answer the call?

And

Gather

Then

Disperse to the far corners

Of our world

Bringing a message

A message of

Hope in a new tomorrow

Of faith that

Love and reason will be restored

That courage will again take

The hand of Love

And

Join together in a union

Then

In the creation

Of a new tomorrow

A tomorrow

In which the wolves no longer

Prey upon the sheep

A future in which the wolves

Feed and nurture the sheep

A new paradigm

One in which the

Lion, wolf and sheep

Shall live again

Amongst each other

Yes

Amongst each other

As one

Note:    I wrote this poem yesterday and published it for the first time on my blog today.  This will be the last post of the Sixth Annual Inspirational August.   See you all again next year for the Seventh Annual event if God is willing and the creek don't rise.
