Happy New Year 2012 To All Whom Visit Here
My best New Year wishes to all who follow my blog or just happen to find their way here. I do appreciate your interest, your visits and your comments.
I have thought about what is to come next year. I have often said, that one does not need to be a visionary or a psychic to know what is to come in the future, although that can help. The mainstream corporate and government controlled medias along with the alternative medias do that for us. Dark times have been presented and we are the ones who fulfill them by our actions or inactions.
I thought that I would add a message that I wrote and posted on my blog back in November as some words of encouragement for those who feel a bit insecure about both their individual and communial shared futures. I still am of the conviction that we all have the ability to see and to touch to a greater truth and an inner strength and wisdom I firmly believe we all have access to.
7 November, 2011 Message: Have No Fear Of What Is To Come.
Have no fear of what is to come. For, the night is dark, but with the dawn comes a new light that refreshes and enlivens and reminds you once again of your own true inner nature as well as the true nature of all within human form.
We say to each of you. To weary not, to not be deceived, but to be certain, to be sure and to have a confidence again.
We know these days have been hard on you as your longings grow. Your longings for a better way of living within your human communities.
The call has gone out and Love has returned, though you see it not. Yes, love of self and love of Man and Woman. Love of your Lands and love of each other.
This is the Love that we speak of this day. This is the Love that arrives with the dawning of a new age.
Trust in your own inherent strength and abilities. Trust in your Self and not ego self. Trust in the coming of a new age in which Mankind again flourishes upon your planet.
The end of slavery is nearing. The ending of the dark ages. A new Light arrives, a new way of being together in human community.
Once again, Man and Woman responsible for each other and respectful of their home, this Earth. There is non other for humankind.
Your Lands, your world, yours is the responsibility to nurture and to grow.

FUKUSHIMA: Public Health Fallout From Japanese Quake
“Culture of cover-up” and inadequate cleanup. Japanese people exposed to “unconscionable” health risks
by Canadian Medical Association Journal
Global Research Canada, December 30, 2011The Japanese government is essentially contending that the higher dose is “not dangerous,” explains Hefland. “However, since the accident, it’s become clear the Japanese government was lying through its teeth, doing everything it possible could to minimize public concern, even when that meant denying the public information needed to make informed decisions, and probably still is.”
A “culture of cover-up” and inadequate cleanup efforts have combined to leave Japanese people exposed to “unconscionable” health risks nine months after last year’s meltdown of nuclear reactors at the Fukushima Dai-ichi power plant, health experts say.
Although the Japanese government has declared the plant virtually stable, some experts are calling for evacuation of people from a wider area, which they say is contaminated with radioactive fallout.
They’re also calling for the Japanese government to reinstate internationally-approved radiation exposure limits for members of the public and are slagging government officials for “extreme lack of transparent, timely and comprehensive communication.”
But temperatures inside the Fukushima power station's three melted cores have achieved a “cold shutdown condition,” while the release of radioactive materials is “under control,” according to the International Atomic Energy Agency (www.iaea.org/newscenter/news/2011/coldshutdown.html).
That means government may soon allow some of the more than 100 000 evacuees from the area around the plant to return to their homes. They were evacuated from the region after it was struck with an 8.9 magnitude earthquake and a tsunami last March 11.
Although the potential for further explosions with substantial releases of radioactivity into the atmosphere is certainly reduced, the plant is still badly damaged and leaking radiation, says Tilman Ruff, chair of the Medical Association for Prevention of Nuclear War, who visited the Fukushima prefecture in August. “There are major issues of contamination on the site. Aftershocks have been continuing and are expected to continue for many months, and some of those are quite large, potentially causing further damage to structures that are already unstable and weakened. And we know that there’s about 120 000 tons of highly contaminated water in the base of the plant, and there’s been significant and ongoing leakage into the ocean.”
The full extent of contamination across the country is even less clear, says Ira Hefland, a member of the board of directors for Physicians for Social Responsibility. “We still don't know exactly what radiation doses people were exposed to [in the immediate aftermath of the disaster] or what ongoing doses people are being exposed to. Most of the information we're getting at this point is a series of contradictory statements where the government assures the people that everything's okay and private citizens doing their own radiation monitoring come up with higher readings than the government says they should be finding.”
Japanese officials in Tokyo have documented elevated levels of cesium — a radioactive material with a half-life of 30 years that can cause leukemia and other cancers — more than 200 kilometres away from the plant, equal to the levels in the 20 kilometre exclusion zone, says Robert Gould, another member of the board of directors for Physicians for Social Responsibility.
International authorities have urged Japan to expand the exclusion zone around the plant to 80 kilometres but the government has instead opted to “define the problem out of existence” by raising the permissible level of radiation exposure for members of the public to 20 millisieverts per year, considerably higher than the international standard of one millisievert per year, Gould adds.

The Federal Reserve is Secretly Bailing out Europe by Washington's Blog
Federal Reserve chair Ben Bernanke told Congress that the Fed would not bail out Europe.
But he might have been less than forthcoming.
Former Vice President of the Federal Reserve bank of Dallas, Gerald ODriscoll, says that the Fed is secretly bailing out Europe:
O’Driscoll wrote in a Wall Street Journal editorial:
The two central banks are engaging in this roundabout procedure because each needs a fig leaf. The Fed was embarrassed by the revelations of its prior largess with foreign banks. It does not want the debt of foreign banks on its books. A currency swap with the ECB is not technically a loan.

Former High-Level Federal Reserve Official: Fed Secretly Bailing Out Europe
Yes, We Are Bailing Out Europe
Federal Reserve chair Ben Bernanke told Congress that the Fed would not bail out Europe.
But he might have been less than forthcoming.
Former Vice President of the Federal Reserve bank of Dallas, Gerald ODriscoll, says that the Fed is secretly bailing out Europe:
O’Driscoll wrote in a Wall Street Journal editorial:
America’s central bank, the Federal Reserve, is engaged in a bailout of European banks. Surprisingly, its operation is largely unnoticed here.
The Fed is using what is termed a “temporary U.S. dollar liquidity swap arrangement” with the European Central Bank (ECB). There are similar arrangements with the central banks of Canada, England, Switzerland and Japan. Simply put, the Fed trades or “swaps” dollars for euros. The Fed is compensated by payment of an interest rate (currently 50 basis points, or one-half of 1%) above the overnight index swap rate. The ECB, which guarantees to return the dollars at an exchange rate fixed at the time the original swap is made, then lends the dollars to European banks of its choosing.
The two central banks are engaging in this roundabout procedure because each needs a fig leaf. The Fed was embarrassed by the revelations of its prior largess with foreign banks. It does not want the debt of foreign banks on its books. A currency swap with the ECB is not technically a loan.

Grim Economic Prospects for 2012: Social Upheaval, Bank Defaults and Financial Chaos by Bob Chapman
Grim Economic Prospects for 2012: Social Upheaval, Bank Defaults and Financial Chaos
by Bob Chapman
Global Researxch Canada, December 28, 2011
Social and political trends are taking their toll on all three regions. The leadership in the US via both parties is trying to destroy the US Constitution, as being irrelevant. Congressman Ron Paul is the only presidential participant defending Constitutional principles, as the remainder in both parties seeks world government. The experiment, which we have seen played out in Europe over the past 20 years, has been an abject failure. There is no question this is a crucial period in US history, as well as that of the UK and Europe.
The game goes on, as German leadership tells us the euro is stable, even as it hits yearly lows. We are told the problem is a crisis in several member states. That may be true, but they all are inseparable. The reassurance from politicians and bankers to calm the market place is beginning to fall on deaf ears. No matter what the cause of the debt crisis it exists and leadership as yet cannot find a solution. Even short-term solutions, such as the use of the EFSF are not going to work. All they will do is gain time. In that process, what happens if France’s credit rating is cut one or two levels? How can France then continue to participate?
The present French government has buried the government in losing investments, which we believe in June will force the electorate to choose the Front National to solve national problems. The public, as in most other countries are sick and tired of lies and incompetence from politicians, bankers and bureaucrats possessed with the creation of world government. At this point confidence in the euro is hanging by a thread and Europe’s leadership doesn’t know how to solve the problem. We have seen such crises of confidence often over the past 15 years. It is not unique, but the size of the euro zone is compelling, because the crisis touches so many people. Currency is the vehicle to bring about a solution, but if confidence is lost the currency cannot perform part of its role as monetization continues unabated, confidence continues to fall and inflation as a result flourishes.
It is not that EU leadership doesn’t want a solution; it is that there isn’t a solution, other then to purge the system. In that environment the politicians, bankers and bureaucrats have their power to control the people taken away from them and the citizens take back their countries and their liberty and freedom. The euro has been an unnatural experiment implanted as a nexus for world government. We predicted this in 1992 and nothing has changed. We expected failure and we now have that failure. After years of leveraged profits for the insiders the public is left with unpayable debt.
The debt bomb began with Greece, Ireland and Portugal. It has been followed by Belgium and now Italy and Spain. We see new commitments for bailouts, but will the funds materialize. We are talking more than $1 trillion and that will entail more bank reorganization that is bailouts. That is governments and the public, bailing out the banks again. The debt loads are enormous for sovereigns as well as bankers. European politicians and economists realize six sovereigns are in serious trouble for at least $6 trillion. $4 trillion will be need for Italy and Spain alone, that is just to keep them going sideways. To our way of thinking Greece is a black hole and after elections we believe it will finally default to be followed by Portugal, Ireland and Belgium. We can understand why the sovereigns are so concerned with the group of 6 and the stability of the euro. This is why, without fanfare and very discreetly the Bundesbank, loaned the ECB $644 billion. That is a very large sum of money even for Germany. This transfer loan has been listed under Target 2. We understand why the funds were needed, but will the German public be happy with the program? Remember, 65% were and are against such further programs.

The World Of Free Energy by Dr. Peter Lindemann

The World Of Free Energy
by Dr. Peter Lindemann
Global Research Canada, December 27, 2011
Free energy technology changes the value of money. The wealthiest families and the issuers of credit do not want any competition. It's that simple. They want to maintain their current monopoly control of the money supply. For them, free energy technology is not just something to suppress, it must be permanently forbidden!
In the late 1880's, trade journals in the electrical sciences were predicting free electricity and free energy in the near future. Incredible discoveries about the nature of electricity were becoming common place. Nikola Tesla was demonstrating "wireless lighting" and other wonders associated with high frequency currents. There was an excitement about the future like never before.
Within 20 years, there would be automobiles, airplanes, movies, recorded music, telephones, radio, and practical cameras. The Victorian Age was giving way to something totally new. For the first time in history, common people were encouraged to envision a utopian future filled with abundant modern transportation and communication, as well as jobs, housing and food for everyone. Disease would be conquered, and so would poverty. Life was getting better, and this time, everyone was going to get a piece of the pie. So, what happened? In the midst of this technological explosion, where did the energy breakthroughs go? Was all of this excitement about free energy, which happened just before the beginning of the last century, just wishful thinking that "real science" eventually disproved?
Current State of Technology
Actually, the answer to that question is no. In fact, the opposite is true. Spectacular energy technologies were developed right along with the other breakthroughs. Since that time, multiple methods for producing vast amounts of energy at extremely low cost have been developed. None of these technologies have made it to the consumer market as an article of commerce, however. Exactly why this is true will be discussed shortly.
But first, I would like to describe to you a short list of free energy technologies that I am currently aware of, and that are proven beyond all reasonable doubt. The common feature connecting all of these discoveries, is that they use a small amount of one form of energy to control or release a large amount of a different kind of energy. Many of them tap the underlying Æther field in some way; a source of energy conveniently ignored by modern science.

UK To Close Borders, Evacuate Expats If Euro Collapses
December 27, 2011
As Eurozone nations sink ever deeper into crisis, the UK Treasury is working on a contingency plan for the single currency's collapse. It includes capital control measures that, under EU rules, require agreement from most of the Union members. Britain is also prepared to close its borders and evacuate expats and holidaymakers from the effected countries. Robert Oulds, president of the Bruge Groups of campaigners against excess unification in Europe says many countries will benefit if euro collapses.

Occupy Wall Street Farmers March - "We Are Farmers, We Grow Food For The People"
December 24, 2011
The story of the historic Occupy Wall Street Farmers March.
On December 4, 2011, farmers and activists from across the country joined the Occupy Wall Street Farmers March for "a celebration of community power to regain control over the most basic element to human well-being: food." The Farmers March began at La Plaza Cultural Community Gardens where urban and rural farmers addressed an excited crowd about the growing problems in our industrial food system and the promise offered by solutions based in organic, sustainable and community based food and agricultural production. This was followed by a 3 mile march from the East Village to Zuccotti Park, the birthplace of the Occupy Wall Street movement.
We would like to thank Occupy Wall Street, the OWS food justice working group and all the farmers and citizens, urban and rural that participated in the day's events.

Bow To None - A Poem
Bow To None
Bow to none, not even to God.
But, if you must bow, then do bow to God.
For, He will forgive you your foolishness.
Man has created the ritual of bowing, not God.
Bowing to another is within the realm of ego and not of the Divine.
It was born out of misdirection and a misuse of power.
Power was never to be used to reign over another.
But to share with and to enrich the other.
Remember this and reign in yourself and never others.
Then you will know and experience the power of the Divine as you transcend ego.

Truth is not confined. It is everywhere and is everlasting.
It does not reside, nor is it the purview of any one person or religion.
It rests within the hearts of us all. It is found in the Silence when the mind is still.
It overflows from the heart when we ‘Listen’.
It has no limitations, for it is everywhere and in all created things, and Love is its messenger.

An Easy Swedish Cheesecake Recipe
An Easy Swedish Cheesecake Recipe
Ingredients:
135 grams Digestive kex (11 to 12 digestive biscuits)
40 grams butter
500 grams Kesella
200 grams Philadephia Cream Cheese (I use 300 grams)
4 msk sugar
2 msk vanilla sugar
3 eggs (I use 4 eggs)
250 grams berries
1st
In a large bowl mix the digestives & butter together. (In US, you can substitute graham crackers).
Press together at the bottom of a round cake or pie form. (I use a 24 cm (9 1/2") by 8 1/2 cm (3 1/2") ceramic bake form.
Bake in the middle of the oven at 175 C.
Take out and turn the oven down to 150 C.
2nd
Mix together the eggs, Philadephia chesse & Kessella, then the sugar & vanilla sugar and pour into the bake form.
Bake for 35 minutes at 150 C. Turn off the oven and leave the cake to sit in the oven.
Then let sit in the oven for a minimum of 2 hours in the after heat.
Take out and cool in the Refrigerator a minimum of one hour. For best results, bake it in the afternoon or evening and let it sit in the frig overnight before eating.
Serve with blueberries, cherry sauce, blackberries, raspberries, strawberries or my favorite, red currents as a garnish on top or eat it plain or use the garnish of your choice.
Note: If you don't have a msk measuring spoon, use a heaping tablespoon instead. If you don't have kessella where you live, subsititue sour cream or creme fraiche.

Anonymous Message - Operation Blackout
December 21, 2011
TRANSCRIPT
Citizens of the United States, We are Anonymous.
This is an urgent emergency alert to all people of the United States. The day we've all been waiting for has unfortunately arrived. The United States is censoring the internet. Our blatant response is that we will not sit while our rights are taken away by the government we trusted them to preserve. This is not a call to arms, but a call to recognition and action!
The United States government has mastered this corrupt way of giving us a false sense of freedom. We think we are free and can do what we want, but in reality we are very limited and restricted as to what we can do, how we can think, and even how our education is obtained. We have been so distracted by this mirage of freedom, that we have just become what we were trying to escape from.
For too long, we have been idle as our brothers and sisters were arrested. During this time, the government has been scheming, plotting ways to increase censorship through means of I S P block aides, D N S blockings, search engine censorship, website censorship, and a variety of other methods that directly oppose the values and ideas of both Anonymous as well as the founding fathers of this country, who believed in free speech and press!
The United States has often been used as an example of the ideal free country. When the one nation that is known for its freedom and rights start to abuse its own people, this is when you must fight back, because others are soon to follow. Do not think that just because you are not a United States citizen, that this does not apply to you. You cannot wait for your country to decide to do the same. You must stop it before it grows, before it becomes acceptable. You must destroy its foundation before it becomes too powerful.
Has the U.S. government not learned from the past? Has it not seen the 2011 revolutions? Has it not seen that we oppose this wherever we find it and that we will continue to oppose it? Obviously the United States Government thinks they are exempt. This is not only an Anonymous collective call to action. What will a Distributed Denial of Service attack do? What's a website de face ment against the corrupted powers of the government? No. This is a call for a worldwide internet and physical protest against the powers that be. Spread this message everywhere. We will not stand for this! Tell your parents, your neighbors, your fellow workers, your school teachers, and anyone else you come in contact with. This affects anyone that desires the freedom to browse anonymously, speak freely without fear of retribution, or protest without fear of arrest.
Go to every I R C network, every social network, every online community, and tell them of the atrocity that is about to be committed. If protest is not enough, the United States government shall see that we are truly legion and we shall come together as one force opposing this attempt to censor the internet once again, and in the process discourage any other government from continuing or trying.
We are Anonymous.
We are Legion.
We do not forgive censorship.
We do not forget the denial of our free rights as human beings.
To the United States government, you should've expected us.
Interview with Dr Suzanne Humphries About Vaccines
In this interview, you'll hear Dr Humphries talk about vaccines, including:
* Why she became concerned about vaccines after noticing kidney failure in patients who recently received vaccines.
* Why vaccines are often contaminated with unknown viral strains, and why the vaccine industry has covered up known vaccine contamination (and knowingly sold contaminated vaccines to be used on the public).
* Why the entire vaccine industry needs to be questioned, and why a new effort is needed to scientifically assess whether vaccines are really safe or effective.
* Why the fairy tale that "vaccines eradicated polio" is a false mythology -- here's what really happened.
* Why the "smallpox" vaccine has never been proven to be effective against smallpox at all.
* Why vaccine industry research is extremely flimsy and ignores rigorous standards of scientific evidence. (Using improper placebos designed to minimize the appearance of side effects, for example.)
* Why the vaccine industry won't test vaccines versus unvaccinated children (they're terrified of the results).
* Why children caught up in outbreaks of measles are often the very same children who were vaccinated against measles!
* Why vaccines may actually suppress the immune system and cause increased vulnerability to future infections.
* Why many childhood infections such as chicken pox are perfectly natural, normal and even HEALTHY.
* Why the outlandish and unscientific behavior of the vaccine industry is causing an erosion of credibility across all "science."

This inversion, with our political and cultural outcasts demanding a respect for law, highlights the awful fact that the most radical and retrograde forces within the body politic {the Right—D.K.} have seized control. – Chris Hedges
In 2005, Michael Greco, the President of the American Bar Association, decided he had to come to the defense of the rule of law in the US. A variety of Bush administration practices, such as signing statements, struck Greco as dangerous transgressions against the constitution, and he commissioned three research reports on the subject from groups of ABA specialists who had deep experience working within the executive branch, including the FBI, the CIA, the NSA, and the Justice Department. Each report identified serious violations of the constitution, and expressed alarm at the gravity of the consequences should they go unchecked. Greco made the reports public, and delivered them to the White House, only to be met with silence from the media and the political establishment. The rule of law, it seems, was no longer a concern to the US establishment, even when the legal profession's umbrella association was weighing in with stern warnings.
However indifferent the establishment may have become to the rule of law by 2005, a large proportion of American citizens were not willing to tolerate brazen illegality at the top.Indignation at the Bush administration's disregard for the law played a significant role in delivering the Presidency and majorities in both chambers of Congress by 2008. President Obama's own background as a one-time teacher of constitutional law conditioned optimism that his administration would honor the rule of law, and would hold many Bush administration officials accountable for their transgressions. Such was the spirit of 2008.
Alas, Obama moved to temper expectations for justice as soon as he assumed office, famously declaring his preference for “moving forward” rather than dredging up the sins of the just concluded Bush administration. Obama's policy made quite an impression, given the scale of the crimes—which included launching a war of aggression in Iraq on false pretenses, the systematic use of torture on prisoners, and the widespread orchestration of federal prosecutions for partisan (Republican Party) political purposes. The implications of non-prosecution are momentous, of course. It serves to establish the practices of the Bush administration in precedent, and leaves such practices available to future administrations.
“Traditionally, a bank would tell the Department of Justice when an employee engaged in crimes, but what do you do when the bank itself is run by a criminal enterprise? – Solomon L. Wisenberg, former chief of a Justice Department financial institutions fraud unit.
As grievous as the lack of accountability in the executive branch may be, Americans have still held out some hope for accountability in the economic realm, chiefly as regards the major Wall Street banks and the specialized mortgage lenders (Countrywide being the most famous) that did so much to foment the financial crisis. The contours of the criminality are sufficiently clear. To consider just one of many vectors, mortgage lenders systematically and surreptitiously falsified documentation from mortgage loan applicants, so as to ensure the approval of these loans, and payment for themselves when they sold ownership of the loans on to banks, for repackaging into MBS (mortgage-backed securities) the banks hawked worldwide.
It is worth a moment to contemplate the scale of just this one dimension of Wall Street crime in the lead-up to the crisis of 2008. According to former Citigroup VP Richard Bowen, who led the group evaluating mortgages bought from lenders like Countrywide, about 60% of 2006 vintage mortgages were defective. He reported this up channels to the top of consumer lending group, but the business was highly profitable, so the bank took no corrective action. It continued to declare that the mortgages underlying its MBS met internal Citigroup lending standards. The defective rate hit 80% in 2007. Bowen notified everyone at the very top of Citi, including the Board of Directors and CEO Charles Prince. But Prince took no action, and signed off on SEC filings that all within his company and its MBS offerings was in order, thus leading investors worldwide over a cliff.
While the Justice Department and the SEC claim to be investigating MBS fraud and other criminal machinations of the banks and lenders, they have pursued only trivial prosecutions to date. When asked point-blank on Friday (December 9th) how the Justice Department could possibly be so inert, the President dodged, deferring to the Justice Department. Facing the same question, the official in charge of the investigations there, Lanny Brewer, insists they are investigating everything, and that they have not experienced any interference from anywhere else in the government asking them to go easy on the big banks. At the very least, this tells us that Obama and his upper advisers are not keen on prosecutions. The President could certainly bolster and accelerate the investigations. To leave himself out of the process is to invite Justice Department officials to collude with the large banks, so as to secure lucrative “revolving door” jobs for themselves in the near future.
The public's suspicions that Wall Street is above the law look all the more accurate in the light of recent revelations that the Justice Department consciously withdrew resources from financial crime investigations back in 2005. Under pressure from President Bush's attorney general, the Justice Department outsourced investigations of wrongdoing to the banks themselves, allowed a gray zone between guilty and not guilty assessments, deferred prosecutions, etc. And the picture darkens further when we learn that 1) the SEC systematically and illegally shredded materials from 18,000 investigations over the last decade; 2) this was an SEC-wide policy, per a discovered internal memo; 3) that the SEC tried to cover up their cover-up; and 4) that the SEC has been very rough on whistleblowers within its own walls.

The Battle For Britain and Freedom For Europe
History in the making - 13th of December 2011. The day the European Union fell apart.
1. When Britain first, at Heaven's command
Arose from out the azure main;
This was the charter of the land,
And guardian angels sang this strain:
"Rule, Britannia! rule the waves:
"Britons never will be slaves."
2. The nations, not so blest as thee,
Must, in their turns, to tyrants fall;
While thou shalt flourish great and free,
The dread and envy of them all.
"Rule, Britannia! rule the waves:
"Britons never will be slaves."
Must, in their turns, to tyrants fall;
While thou shalt flourish great and free,
The dread and envy of them all.
"Rule, Britannia! rule the waves:
"Britons never will be slaves."
3. Still more majestic shalt thou rise,
More dreadful, from each foreign stroke;
As the loud blast that tears the skies,
Serves but to root thy native oak.
"Rule, Britannia! rule the waves:
"Britons never will be slaves."
More dreadful, from each foreign stroke;
As the loud blast that tears the skies,
Serves but to root thy native oak.
"Rule, Britannia! rule the waves:
"Britons never will be slaves."
4. Thee haughty tyrants ne'er shall tame:
All their attempts to bend thee down,
Will but arouse thy generous flame;
But work their woe, and thy renown.
"Rule, Britannia! rule the waves:
"Britons never will be slaves."
All their attempts to bend thee down,
Will but arouse thy generous flame;
But work their woe, and thy renown.
"Rule, Britannia! rule the waves:
"Britons never will be slaves."
5. To thee belongs the rural reign;
Thy cities shall with commerce shine:
All thine shall be the subject main,
And every shore it circles thine.
"Rule, Britannia! rule the waves:
"Britons never will be slaves."
Thy cities shall with commerce shine:
All thine shall be the subject main,
And every shore it circles thine.
"Rule, Britannia! rule the waves:
"Britons never will be slaves."
6. The Muses, still with freedom found,
Shall to thy happy coast repair; Blest Isle!
With matchless beauty crown'd,
And manly hearts to guard the fair.
"Rule, Britannia! rule the waves:
"Britons never will be slaves."
Shall to thy happy coast repair; Blest Isle!
With matchless beauty crown'd,
And manly hearts to guard the fair.
"Rule, Britannia! rule the waves:
"Britons never will be slaves."

50 Economic Numbers From 2011 That Are Almost Too Crazy To Believe
Global Research Canada, December 18, 2011
Even though most Americans have become very frustrated with this economy, the reality is that the vast majority of them still have no idea just how bad our economic decline has been or how much trouble we are going to be in if we don't make dramatic changes immediately. If we do not educate the American people about how deathly ill the U.S. economy has become, then they will just keep falling for the same old lies that our politicians keep telling them. Just "tweaking" things here and there is not going to fix this economy. We truly do need a fundamental change in direction. America is consuming far more wealth than it is producing and our debt is absolutely exploding. If we stay on this current path, an economic collapse is inevitable. Hopefully the crazy economic numbers from 2011 that I have included in this article will be shocking enough to wake some people up.
At this time of the year, a lot of families get together, and in most homes the conversation usually gets around to politics at some point. Hopefully many of you will use the list below as a tool to help you share the reality of the U.S. economic crisis with your family and friends. If we all work together, hopefully we can get millions of people to wake up and realize that "business as usual" will result in a national economic apocalypse.
The following are 50 economic numbers from 2011 that are almost too crazy to believe....

And They Obey - A Poem by Carl Sandburg
AND THEY OBEY
SMASH down the cities.
Knock the walls to pieces.
Break the factories and cathedrals, warehouses
and homes
Into loose piles of stone and lumber and black
burnt wood:You are the soldiers and we command you.
Build up the cities.
Set up the walls again.
Put together once more the factories and cathedrals,
warehouses and homes
Into buildings for life and labor:
You are workmen and citizens all: We
command you.

Fake Withdrawal? - US Won't Leave Iraq Oil To Iran
December 18, 2011
Despite the US's declared withdrawal of its military personnel and contractors out of Iraq, Washington has prepared to control the country's rich oil reserves in any case, shared Ranjit Singh Kalha, former India's ambassador to Iraq in the 1990s. Having spent $3 trillion in Iraq, a country with harsh weather conditions (+50 C most of the time) and absolutely nothing valuable but oil reserves, the Americans simply cannot give up the plentiful and very high quality oil they went there for. "It takes $1.50 to take out this oil that's just below the surface. Anybody who has access to this oil can be a game changer -- as far as the politics of oil is concerned," Ranjit Singh Kalha concluded. The problem Americans encountered in Iraq is that once given "some symbols" of democracy, the Iraqi voted for a Shia-led government. The headache is that the Shia traditionally have close links with Iran, the core territory of this affiliation. "That is the present dilemma. If you withdraw from Iraq completely, you leave this vast oil wealth of Iraq in the hands of Shia (Iran-oriented) government. And therefore it upsets the political balance in the Middle East," Ranjit Singh Kalha explained. He said that to counter such adverse developments the US will have almost 20,000-strong embassy in Baghdad (the largest US embassy in the world) and consulates in Basra, Kerkuk and in northern Kurd-inhabited territory, each consulate 1,000-strong. "Americans cannot afford to be completely absent from Iraq," the former ambassador argued, adding he does not see any lessening of American influence in Iraq. Iraq is a multi-confessional country and to curb religious extremism all previous country's rulers had to be very tough with the population, the diplomat stressed. In Saddam's Iraq most of the military and law enforcement was Sunni and the rule of law was first of all a rule of military power preventing sectarian violence. Today's Iraq is ruled by Shia government which does not have the necessary experience of ruling with an iron fist, so the country risks a full fledged civil war to start at any time given. American troops will not go far from Iraq -- they will be re-deployed to next door Kuwait.

Love - A poem by Sri Chinmoy
No remedy for black hate?
Who says?
Just love
And love more,
That's all.
Just love
And love more,
That's all.
No remedy for helpless fear?
Who says?
Just love
And love more,
That's all.
Who says?
Just love
And love more,
That's all.
No remedy for blind darkness?
Who says?
Just love
And love more,
That's all.
Who says?
Just love
And love more,
That's all.
No remedy for lengthy bondage?
Who says?
Just love
And love more,
That's all.

Wow!! Thank you for all for the wonderful comments. The village of Quinhagak is glowing because of them. The amount of views is mind blowing!! Considering this video was intended for an audience of about 200. As many of you have thought, the kids worked very hard on this project. They put in 10 hours of work shooting all the scenes (on a weekend nonetheless!!) I am very proud of them!
Thank you also for pointing out the apostrophes! I now have a very teachable moment once we start school again. One they will never forget!! I'm just glad I spelled "Hallelujah" correct.
Thank you on behalf of Quinhagak, Alaska!! Merry Christmas!!

The Way To Occupy A Bank Is To Own One by Ellen Brown
The Way To Occupy A Bank Is To Own One
by Ellen Brown
Global Research Canada, December 16, 2011
"North Dakota has profited from a state-owned bank for 90 years. Why not Maine?"
The campaign to "move your money" has gotten a groundswell of support. Having greater impact would be to "move our money" -- move our local government revenues out of Wall Street banks into our own publicly-owned banks.
Occupy Wall Street has been both criticized and applauded for not endorsing any official platform. But there are unofficial platforms, including one titled the 99% Declaration which calls for a "National General Assembly" to convene on July 4, 2012 in Philadelphia. The 99% Declaration seeks everything from reining in the corporate state to ending the Fed to eliminating censorship of the Internet. But none of these demands seems to go to the heart of what prompted Occupiers to camp out on Wall Street in the first place – a corrupt banking system that serves the 1% at the expense of the 99%. To redress that, we need a banking system that serves the 99%.
Occupy San Francisco has now endorsed a plan aimed at doing just that. In a December 1 Wall Street Journal article titled “Occupy Shocker: A Realistic, Actionable Idea,” David Weidner writes:
[P]rotesters in the Bay Area, especially Occupy San Francisco, have something their East Coast neighbors don't: a realistic plan aimed at the heart of banks. The idea could be expanded nationwide to send a message to a compromised Washington and the financial industry.
It's called a municipal bank. Simply put, it would transfer the City of San Francisco's bank accounts—about $2 billion now spread between such banks as Bank of America Corp., UnionBanCal Corp. and Wells Fargo & Co.—into a public bank. That bank would use small local banks to lend to the community.
The public bank concept is not new. It has been proposed before in San Francisco and has a successful 90-year track record in North Dakota. Weidner notes that the state-owned Bank of North Dakota earned taxpayers more than $61 million last year and reported a profit of $57 million in 2008, when Bank of America had a $1.2 billion net loss. The San Francisco bank proposal is sponsored by city supervisor John Avalos, who has been thinking about a municipal bank for several years.

Bankers Rule the World: "The Network of Global Corporate Control" by Stephen Lendman
Bankers Rule the World: "The Network of Global Corporate Control"
by Stephen Lendman
Global Research Canada, December 16, 2011
"Financial tyranny runs America and Europe. As a result, public anger grows."
Bankers rule the world. A new Swiss Federal Institute of Technology study says so. Written by Stefania Vitali, James Glattfelder and Stefano Battiston, it's titled "The network of global corporate control," saying:
"We find that transnational corporations from a giant bow-tie structure and that a large portion of control flows to a small tightly-knit core of financial institutions. This core can be seen as an economic 'super-entity' that raises new important issues both for researches and policy makers."
The study says 147 powerful companies control an inordinate amount of economic activity - about 40%. Among the top 50, 45 are financial firms. They include Barclays PLC (called most influential), JPMorgan Chase, UBS, and other familiar and less known names.
Twenty-four companies are US-based, followed by eight in Britain, five in France, four in Japan, and Germany, Switzerland, and the Netherlands with two each. Canada has one.
Moreover, "top ranked" companies "hold a control ten times bigger than what could be expected based on their wealth."
As a result, they have enormous influence over political, financial, and economic activity.
In his book titled, "When Corporations Rule the World," David Korten said they're able to transfer enormous amounts of power, wealth and resources from public to private hands with government complicity. Money power and concentrated wealth in few hands especially harm humanity.
"These forces have transformed" financial institutions and other corporate predators "into instruments of a market tyranny that is extending its reach across the planet like a cancer, colonizing ever more of the planet's living spaces, destroying livelihoods, displacing people, rendering democratic institutions impotent, and feeding on life in an insatiable quest for money" and profits as a be and end all.
Only bottom line priorities and market dominance matter, not human welfare, environmental sanity, peace, equity and justice.
Transnational giants are the dominant institution of our time - especially financial ones with money power control of everything.
They decide who governs and how, who serves on courts, what laws are enacted, and whether or not wars are waged. Corporate dominance, especially financial power, and democratic values are incompatible.
They operate ruthlessly as private tyrannies. They're predators. We're prey, and every day we're eaten alive.
They do it because they can, and in America by mandate.
Publicly owned US corporations, including financial ones, must serve shareholders by maximizing equity value through higher profits. They do it by exploiting nations, people and resources ruthlessly.
Social responsibility doesn't matter. Neither does being worker-friendly, a good citizen, or friend of the earth. Bottom line priorities alone matter. Failure to pursue fiduciary responsibilities means possible dismissal or shareholder lawsuits.
Yet nothing in America's Constitution or statute laws endow corporations with their rights. They usurped them by co-opting Washington, the nation's courts, state capitals, and city halls.

A Traditional Swedish Gingerbread Cookie Recipe
A Traditional Swedish Gingerbread Cookie Recipe
Given to me by Magnus. Given to him by his mother. Given to all who enjoy baking by me.
This recipe will make about 100 cookies.
Ingredients:
250 g melted butter
4 deciliter sugar (half of it raw sugar and 2 deciliter usual white sugar)
1,5 deciliter "light" syrup (not the white syrup but the common light brown syrup used)
2,5 tablespoons of powder clove (malen kryddnejlika)
2 tablespoon cinnamon (powder) (malen kanel)
1,5 tablespoon ginger (powder) (malen ingefära)
0,75 tablespoon bikarbonat (baking soda)
0,5 teaspoon kardemumma (cardamum powder)
0,5 teaspoon kryddpeppar (powder peppar (not black or whit peppar but the one named, KRYDD peppar
7,5 decilite white flour (vetemjöl)
0,75 deciliter water
Just melt the butter, put in the sugar and syrup and let melt a little. Blend all the spices together with everything except the flour. Then blend in the pot until it's smooth and blended. Then blend the flour a little at a time until it's all mixed in. Let it cool for maybe half an hour (it will be a little slippery and not so firm in the constancy) and then put it in plastic bag or Glad bag in the fridge. It should stand a couple of hours, but usually over the night is best, then it's hard and ready to bake. Then just use the baking rolling pin on a floured table and put them on a cookie sheet . 200 C degress in the oven for maximum, 5 minutes (if they start to look a little black around the edges, they have been to long). Let them cool for about 15 minutes, and they will be the best gingerbread cookies (pepparkaks) you have ever eaten ;-) (At least I think so) ;-) ;-)
Magnus
Note: You will have to convert the European measurements to North American if you're in the States. For those in Europe you will not have any problem.
