The Approaching Storm - A Guest Post By Michael Brine

Over this past week-end I felt to write this. I didn't expect to be writing anymore but I just had the feeling to share this. So - Enjoy!  :)  Share as you and if you wish. Be well all.

Michael Brine.

OK, Michael B.:   Share, I will.

The Approaching Storm.

Note: Before you read this please note that some of this you may have read in my earlier writings. However, there is much more to our joint story – yours and mine – so bear with me as we connect the dots. M.B.

“When Love and Power unite almighty Grace endows Mankind.” Schuler.

Humanity, and indeed all life on this planet, has now reached a critical juncture in its evolutionary process. Frankly, we are in a mess! We are at the brink of total collapse!

We need to stand back – pause – and take a very deep breath, and review as dispassionately as we can, the main factors that have brought us to this unfolding crisis.

We try to resolve our differences by going to war and killing each other.

Most of these differences have been caused by differences in religion – mainly the three Abraham based religions – Islam, Judaism and Christianity. These religions have used fear as the ingredient to maintain control based largely on a judgemental god - a god WE – by that I mean religions - have created!

Another factor is the pressure of global population – a factor we largely ignore. Perhaps, understandably, because, what can we do about it? Indeed – what? Here in Canada where I live, we are largely insulated from this particular pressure because of our relatively  large landmass.

To give this some perspective in 1900 the global population was between 1 and 1.5 billion. That’s 1900 AD by the way. Today – some 111 years later – it has reached 7 billion! The basic reason is not just because of improved living conditions – which is questionable in many countries – but because of the expontintial factor – 2+2=4 – 4+4=8 – 8+8=16 – 8+8=16 – 16+16=32, and so on.

Indeed we are eroding land used for crop production as cities expand - add to which these increasing weather anomalies across the globe are also seriously affecting crops. We are already witnessing food prices spiralling upwards.

Another factor which seriously divides us are what I call lines on a map – separate countries. Despite our conditioning to think otherwise we are one peoples on this earth. We are called human. Yes, we are subdivided into various races but like other life forms sharing this world with us – ie:- Dogs – that are made up of separate breeds - we too have different ‘breeds’ but are ultimately one peoples called Human.

Now, another fundamental element that is a major factor in all of this is the cyclic nature of all livings things. The fact that we have arrived at this global population crisis also corresponds with the fact that we are on the cusp of a cyclic change on our planet. It is no accident that these two elements have coincided. Increasing weather anomalies, volcanic disturbances, tsunamis, flooding, hotter weather conditions manifesting across the globe are all indicators that things are not ‘normal’ whatever normal is anymore! Even our global financial situation is about to collapse it would seem. Hhhmmm – buying gold won’t feed your stomach. This is a time for common sense faced, as we are, with this impending crisis.

To put our collective heads in the sand will not make it go away. We need to face up to the fact that Nature – Gaia – is subject to the same conditions as we are except on a larger scale. The human species has become like an infestation on this earth comparable to a hoard of ants. There are limits to all things and we have arrived at ours. Gaia has been heaving and barking at an ever increasing and accelerated rate as we have seen over these last few years. Telling her to “Cool it” or “Shut up” will have no effect! J We have reached the tipping point – so what now?

Well – one more bit of delightful information. I have recently been told from several reliable sources that there is a comet on its way towards Earth that will pass very close to our southern hemisphere. Its arrival is likely to be before the end of this year. Its affect will be to create a substantial rising of ocean waters. More northern areas such as northern Canada and the Siberian parts of Russia will have the least damage. Only time will tell – and it would seem that ‘time’ is perhaps all we have!

Here I cannot avoid bringing in this “End Times” factor and the Mayan Calendar synchronicity with all of this. I do not think we can say that this is just a coincidence. It is not! Also, let me add a “PS” here. The date for the end of the Mayan Calendar is NOT the 21stof December 2012 as erroneously claimed by the mass media. It is in fact THIS year on the 28th October 2011. The true Maya shamans et al support this, including the Swedish microbiologist and professor who is also a long time student of the Maya – Carl Johan Calleman – who is a recognised expert on this calendar.

Now, let us pause and reflect for a moment. If this does happen, or something equally devastating, we need to learn from our past errors and not repeat them. We have been living in a Patriarchal age over the last almost 6000 years, and by definition it has been an age ruled by men. In this coming age we are now transiting towards there must be a balance between the masculine and feminine. This apart from anything else is essential. We must also in future learn to work in concert with each other as in communities – not in competition with each other, but in harmony and sharing. These two elements will be fundamental.

“Money” as a ‘paper’ medium of exchange whether actual paper or by an Internet exchange, should be eliminated. This process that we drifted into over this past age – has been the fundamental cause of so much corruption along with the resulting pain caused to individuals.

After this approaching storm has passed there will be a great silence across the lands. Then, we will slowly begin to pick ourselves up and survey the damage, and as we move forward hopefully, we will reflect and learn from it all. New energies will strengthen us as we acknowledge and understand that we need to promote honest interaction, love and respect, with all those we connect with.

Now, let me quote a very supportive quote by David Korten, Chairman of the Board of “Yes” magazine: -

“The human brain is wired to support creativity, cooperation, and life in community. That is our nature. The prevalence of materialism, greed, competition, and violence common in modern society is a symptom of severe cultural and institutional dysfunction."

We humans inhabit a wondrous but finite living planet with a self-organizing biosphere to which we must adapt our lives and economies.

Life not money, is the true measure of value; monies only legitimate use is in life’s service.  An obsession with making money is a sign of psychological and social dysfunction.

Markets are essential to the function of a healthy democratic society. Their proper function, however, depends on proper rules implemented by democratic governments under the watchful eye of a strong and dynamic civil society.

Finally, story power is the ultimate power.  Authentic stories liberate the human consciousness, build immunity to cultural manipulation, and give us the courage and insight to create a world of peace and prosperity for all.”

Thank you very much, David Korten, and also to my valued friend Magi, bless her cotton socks, who sent me David’s writings above!  Also my friend Menno for his valued insights over many years, especially relating to this possible comet heading our way.

Now - Herein lies our future.  Can we rise to the occasion?  We must – it is our joint mission – but first we must pass and endure the cleansing Fire about to manifest before us. With the help of angels by whatever name and from wherever they may come from – we will!  So be it!

As a wise teacher of mine once said – “There is no such thing as a mistake – Only unrealized wisdom”.

Interesting read, M... Though iam skeptical about the Mayan prophecy, (just 3 months away according to the article); the fact that the article focuses on certain basic truth's of life is endearing... :)

thanks for sharing...

Hello PS:

Yes, I do not believe everything I read either, but believe if someone has 10 things to say and even 3 of them I can take to heart, then I will read with an open mind.

This is a guest post and I wish all who post here to freely give their opinions & beliefs. I would be an hypocrite if I did otherwise.

It is common today that people speak about being open to all ideas, but become very angry when one doesn't agree with them.

I believe in critical thinking and tolerance toward others. I can separate the person from their opinions very easily.

Thanks for your comment & happy weekend,
Mike
